Northwest Michigan Habitat for Humanity has been helping local Emmet and Charlevoix County residents purchase and repair homes since 1990. 43 new, attainable homes will be added to the area by 2025 through Foundations for our Future.

This home, and others under construction, nestled in the Meadowlands Subdivision in Alanson is seeking a loving homeowner! These homes are 3-bedroom 1-bathroom homes with all appliances included.

If you've been looking for a home but can't compete in today's market, we may be a great option for you! We partner with lenders to create affordable mortgage options with down payment assistance and gap financing to make sure your housing payments don't exceed 30% of your income.

If you're interested in homeownership but aren't ready to take out a mortgage we offer credit repair through monthly workshops and individual counseling. We are here to help every step of the way!

Please join us in celebrating Emily’s 3 year anniversary with Northwest Michigan Habitat for Humanity! She has brought so much life and love to the office, and deserves to be celebrated today and every day! The ring leader for nearly all of our interoffice pranks, Emily’s energy level, volunteerism, and community involvement are unparalleled. She is making such a difference in our community, and as our Program Services Manager she is our connection to our program partners (future and current Habitat homeowners), the most important part of our mission. When she’s not fighting for affordable housing, Emily can be seen creating costumes for her taxidermied squirrel, making the best corn salad around, and putting googly eyes on any photos of humans within the NMHFH offices.
